The St Ferrer Impact Build is a community initiative where we will donate our time, skills and resources to transform the home of one Melbourne family or individual experiencing significant hardship. We invite you to nominate someone who would genuinely benefit from this initiative.

For the past several years, St Ferrer has proudly supported leading charities through fundraising initiatives. In 2026, we’re taking our commitment to community impact one step further.

The St Ferrer Impact Build aims to personally improve the living conditions of a family or individual facing significant hardship by using our professional skills to deliver meaningful impact to their everyday life.

One Day of Transformation

The St Ferrer Impact Build is designed to deliver meaningful improvements to the home of one Melbourne Family or Individual.

St Ferrer Impact Build Charity Event 2026

Fully Funded Refurbishment

The successful recipient will receive up to 8 hours of refurbishment works at no cost to them, with all materials, labour and consumables fully funded by St Ferrer and its trusted partners.

Skilled Trades

A team of construction professionals, trades and industry partners will donate their time and expertise to deliver quality improvements that make a meaningful difference to the home.

Practical Improvements

Works may include painting, landscaping, fencing, gutter repairs, deck restoration, pressure washing, minor electrical works and other cosmetic improvements. St Ferrer may also undertake minor internal refurbishment works where feasible.

Who can be nominated?

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, the nominee must:

  • Own and reside in the property.
  • Be an Australian citizen.
  • Live in a standalone house, unit or townhouse (the property cannot be an apartment or part of an owners’ corporation).
  • Have safe and clear street access.
  • Be experiencing significant hardship (financial hardship or reduced capacity due to circumstances such as disability, illness, single parenthood or advanced age).
  • Intend to remain living in the property for at least the next 12 months.
  • Be available on the Impact Build day, Friday 17th of July.
  • Be willing to have the property photographed and filmed before, during and after works, and be willing to participate in a short video interview.
  • Be located within 45km of the Melbourne CBD. Please refer to the map below:

  • The nominee cannot nominate themselves.
  • The nominee must be aware of the nomination and provide permission for their details and circumstances to be shared with the St Ferrer team.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Who can submit a nomination?
Anyone can nominate a person or family who meets the eligibility criteria. However, nominees cannot nominate themselves. Start a nomination today.

2. Can I nominate a family member?
Absolutely. You may nominate a family member, friend, neighbour or community member, provided they meet the eligibility criteria and are aware of the nomination.

3. What type of work will St Ferrer complete?
Works are external, non-structural improvements that can be completed within 8 hours. This may include painting, landscaping, fencing repairs, deck restoration, gutter cleaning, minor electrical work and other cosmetic enhancements. If feasible, St Ferrer may provide internal refurbishment works.

Structural works and any works requiring council permits are excluded.

4. How is the successful nominee selected?
All nominations will be reviewed by an internal St Ferrer selection panel against eligibility criteria and impact potential. The panel’s decision is final.

5. Will all nominees be contacted?
Due to the anticipated number of submissions, only the successful nominee will be contacted following the selection process.

6. When will the successful nominee be announced?
The successful nominee will be contacted by Friday 26th of June. The project will take place on Friday 17th of July

7. What happens after a nominee is selected?
The St Ferrer team will conduct a site inspection to confirm suitability and determine the final scope of works. If unforeseen structural or safety concerns arise, St Ferrer reserves the right to withdraw or modify the project.

8. Is the refurbishment completely free?
Yes. All approved materials, labour and consumables for the agreed scope of works will be fully funded by St Ferrer.
